Welcome to Four M Alpaca Ranch!

We are a small ranch located just outside College Station, Texas near Texas A&M University in the heart of Aggieland. Like many alpaca ranchers, our journey began after watching television advertisements showing the joy and advantages of alpaca ownership. While viewing the Alpaca Owner and Breeders Association (AOBA) website, we were surprised to learn there were a number of alpaca ranches within a 1 hour drive of our house. It was during a visit to one of these ranches that we became alpaca fans and, soon thereafter, alpaca owners.

We have always had animals in our lives, but have never cared for an animal larger than a Labrador Retriever. All have been family pets and we have never owned nor cared for livestock. With the exception of some much needed landscape rearrangement, the transition has not been difficult. We do not own a lot of land and, fortunately, this is not necessary as alpacas do not require a lot of land for grazing. General care and health maintenance are not terribly time consuming and typically consist of regular toe-nail trimming, deworming when needed, and vaccinations.
